THE UNBELOVED RELATIONSHIP

ACT 1

INT. RESTAURANT - 7:47 A.M.

Melly is a 26-year-old woman who is a hard worker and a very
friendly person. Ceazar is a 29-year-old man who also works hard
but has a bit of a temper. Melly has been working at this buffet
for a year and a half. This is Ceazars first day working and
Melly has to show him how things work around the place.

MELLY
My name is Melly, a

ours?

CEAZAR
Ceazar.

INT. MOVIE THEATER - 8:45 P.M.

Time passes and Ceazar ends up asking Melly to go on a date with
him and she goes.

CEAZAR

INT. RESTAURANT- 8:09 P.M.(6 MONTHS AFTER THEIR F IRST DATE)

Ceazar is ready to propose to Melly this night. T hey go to
dinner for their six month anniversary.

ut a ring box and opens it. It has a v

ring in it.

CEAZAR
ou marry me?

Melly begins to cry with joy.

MELLY
Yes I will.

elly wanted was a good life and relationship with Ceazar.

FLASHBACK

INT. THEIR HOUSE - 10:01 P.M.

Ceazar gets home drunk. Melly is in bed trying to go to sleep
when he gets home.

CEAZAR

Melly gets up from bed tired.

CEAZAR

MELLY

Wait no its just very late to make food.

Ceazar slaps her in the face.

MELLY
Hey, what was that for?

Ceazar beat her until he got tired, and when he was done Melly
had bruises all over her arms and legs. Shes wearing pants and
a long sleeve to hide the bruises. After this Melly was scared
of Ceazar and wanted to go to the police.

ACT II

INT. MELLY AND CEAZARS HOUSE - 9:12 A.M.(PRESENT TIME)

INT. MELLY AND CEAZARS HOUSE- 10:06 A.M.

Mellys mother is a short 39 year old woman. Melly invites her
mother to the house while Ceazar is at work.

INT. MELLY AND CEAZARS HOUSE 11:07 A.M.

Melly decides to tell her mother what Ceazar does to her.

MELLY

Yeah, Melly you can tell m

Melly tells her mother what Ceazar does to her almost everyday.

MELLY
Mom for the past two years that I've been w ith C eazar, h es b een
abusing m e. He hits me almost everyday. I h ave b ruises f rom w hen
he hits me.

Mellys mother has a shocked face as Melly is telling her all

these things that she goes through on almost a daily bases.

Why are you still with him?

MELLY
Hes told me before that if I try to leave him h

or maybe even someone else that I care about. I dont want to
risk him hurting anyone.

MOM
What do you mean youre scared! You couldve j ust called t he
police o ne day and this would have stopped! Do you have any
bruises or scars?

MELLY
Yes, I do but you cant tell Ceazar that I showed you or told
you. If he knows that I told you hes going get really mad.

MOM
Ok, I wont tell h
im.

Melly and her mother go to M

ellys bedroom. Melly shows her
mother all her bruises and s cars.

MOM
This is bad Melly. How have you been able to go through all t

for so long? I wouldve left him or even told the police of t his
the first time he hit me.

MELLY
Well I thought he would change. I dont think that anymore, but
I still cant do anything about it. He wasnt like this when we
first met at work. I really thought this was the guy I would
have a good relationship with.

MOM
Im not g
oing to let anyone else hurt my daughter. Im g
oing to
tell the police what Ceazar does to you.

Ceazar e nters h is house from work and sees that there's no one
in the l iving r oom and get suspicious.
MELLY
Mom dont act weird just because hes here.

MOM

MELLY
No! Dont go t

MOM
Ok I wont go t

Mellys mother walks out the room.

CEAZAR

Mellys mother walks out the house fast. C eazar walks into the
room and sees Melly putting on her shirt a nd figures out that
she showed her mother all the bruises.

MELLY
I didnt s
how her. I
promise.

EXT. OUTSIDE OF CEAZARS HOUSE 12:10 P.M.

Ceazar runs out the house and catches her mother. He offers her
a ride and Melly didnt hear from her mother the rest of the
day.
CEAZAR
Hey do you want a ride to your house?

MOM
No Ceazar, Im fine. I want t
o w

nyways.

CEAZAR
Come on I insist.

Mellys mom gets into the car. Ceazar speeds off in t

he car. He
takes Mellys mom to unknown location. He gets back t o the house
two hours later.

INT. CEAZARS HOUSE 2:00 P.M.

CEAZAR
If you e
ver try to tell anyone again Ill actually hurt t
hem. I

didnt hurt your mother shes somewhere safe.

Melly then lays down on her bed and starts crying.

MELLY
This is all my f
ault.

ACT III

INT. MELLYS HOUSE - 11:30 P.M.

 GAVILAN, GUZMAN 7

Its been two days since Ceazar took Mellys mom to an unknown
location. Melly still feels like this is all her fault because
she told her mother. She cant sleep well at night because she
stays awake thinking about what happened. Shes thinking about
how this could have been avoided. Ceazar is asleep next her.

MELLY
This is all my fault. I couldve kept my m
other safe by just not
telling her about any of this. I wonder w here she is. I wonder
if shes safe.

Melly starts to cry. Melly starts talking to herself.

MELLY
I shouldnt have told her. Im going to have to live w ith t
his
memory for the rest of my life. Im going to live the rest of my
life in pain.

Melly stares at h
er ceiling for a minute then stops crying. She
starts thinking b ecause she puts a thinking face. She realizes
that she should s top suffering and try to do something about her
situation.

MELLY
My mom got in trouble for my problem. I

Melly gets up from bed and puts and changes into s

clothes. Ceazar wakes up and realizes that shes u p and changing
clothes.

CEAZAR

Melly quickly steps out the house.

INT. OUTSIDE - 12:01 A.M.

CEAZAR

CEAZAR

Melly cuts him off.

are. You cant hit me out here or Ill start t

and people will come out and see you.

CEAZAR
Ill

Melly cuts him off again.

MELLY
Youll do nothing to m
e anymore.

They go back and forth arguing while walking until they get to
the police station.

INT. POLICE STATION - 12:47 A.M.

CEAZAR
Ill give you one more c
hance.

MELLY
Officer I have to report a

rime. T
his man

Ceazar p unches her on the head. The officers drop him and arrest
him on t he spot.

Well f

INT. COURT HOUSE - 10:00 A.M.

A couple of hours a
fter Ceazar p unches Melly, the p olice find
Mellys mother in C eazars old h ouse. They open a c ase to arrest
Ceazar for all he d id to Melly a nd her mom.

INT. COURT HOUSE - 9:25 A.M.

JUDGE
s found guilty.
Ceazar i

Melly lives the rest of her life single and happy. Days pass by
and she find out shes pregnant with Ceazars baby.

INT. MELLYS HOUSE - 7:30 P.M.

Melly walks out her room with a pregnancy test.
