The Supreme Student Government, in

partnership with GMATHS Teachers/

Employees Association, successfully
conducted the first collection of the 4th annual
Trashure Project, last September 22, 2017 in
the school covered court.

The proceeds of the project, which were

from the sold recyclable materials brought by
students from six different councils, will fund
the upcoming World Teachers Day celebration.

Trashure, from the words trash and treasure, is a collaboration of GMATHS,

MENRO, and Junk Shop Association implemented to reduce the waste inside the campus, where
recyclable wastes are to be brought and segregated by students and bought by a junk shop.

GMATHSTEA President Mr. Ivan John Tible rated the entire project with only 80%,
although already collecting P15, 000 from the first collection. According to him, Trashure will
not be effective if the segregation from each classroom were not fully implemented.

As of now, the G10 council has the biggest contribution, responsible for almost half of
the total collection, and the other half coming from the other councils. The collection will
continue every Friday until before the schools Foundation Day in November.
