Central Obesity relationship with Creatinine Values In Chronic Renal Failure

ABSTRACT
Background : Central obesity is one of the many types of obesity in adults, in
both the developed and developing countries. Indonesian population obesity rates
continue to increase from year to year. Central obesity caused by excess
accumulation of fat in the abdominal area that is abnormal or excess that can
interfere with health. Increased incidence of central obesity posing the increase of
various kinds of degenerative diseases such as one kidney desease. As we know
that central obesity is a risk factor for metabolic syndrome
Objective : To determine the relationship of central obesity with creatinine values
in patients with chronic renal failure in Space Hemodialysis Hospital Dr. H.
Abdul Moeloek Bandar Lampung.
Methods : In this study the type of research used in this study was observational
analytic with cross sectional approach. Data collection conducted research using
sampling techniques Consecutive number of samples in this study amounted to 31
patients with fulfilling inclusion and exclusion criteria. Data retrieved from
medical records.
Results : From the results the majority of respondents who have a waist
circumference categories of central obesity as many as 24 people (77.4%). has
abnormal creatinine category as many as 23 people (74.2%). Based on test results
obtained statistical p-value = 0.002 which means there Relations Central Obesity
With Value Creatinine In Chronic Renal Failure Patients on Hemodialysis Space
Hospital Dr. H. Abdul Moeloek Bandar Lampung. With OR 4.507.
