1. Open your file TH1P1.sav on the SPSS software.

2. Go to Graphs -> Chart Builder -> then in gallery tab choose Scatterplot, and
then Simple Scatter.
3. Drag the Simple Scatter plot to the designated area. THen choose the VAR00001 as
the y-axis(drag it) & VAR00002 as
the X-axis. You will get an option to rename them at the right hand side(Axis
Label)
4. Rename the Y-axis to Formula Manipulation Test and X-Axis to Word-Problem Test,
press apply and then Ok on LHS below.
THis will make a scatterplot looking similar like the question. To draw the
regression line, double click the graph on the output window
which will open chart Editor
5. Go to the Elements tab and then Fit line at Total, this will draw a linear
regression line on your graph, also showing the equation on the graph
6. The equation was coming y=0.62 + 0.33x(match your answer)
7. To predict the value asked in 5th question just use the equation you got and
substitute the value 68 as y to get x.
