    EARLYRETIREMENTINCENTIVEWAIVER/AGREEMENT

    WHEREAS, pursuanttoExhibitMoftheBuncombeCountyPersonnelOrdinanceemployeeswith
    twentyeightyearsofserviceretiringpriortoJanuary1,2022areentitledtoparticipate
    inBuncombeCountysEmployeeRetirementIncentivePan;

    WHEREAS, InaccordancewithSectionI.A.1aqualifiedemployeeisentitledtooneyearsannual
    salarypaidoutonabiweeklybasisoverthreeyears;

    WHEREAS, certainemployeeshavehighoruniquequalificationsandtheCountyneedstoretainthe
    employeesintheirpositionthroughthepaymentofaretentionincentivepayment;and

    WHEREAS, inanefforttoretainkeyemployeesinmissioncriticalpositions,BuncombeCountyis
    offeringtopaytheemployee,whilestillemployed,theemployeesearlyretirement
    payoutandallassociatedcostsattheemployeescurrentsalary.

    NOWTHEREFOREinexchangeforapaymentintheamountof$241,790.73paidoutover35payperiods
    asaretentionincentive,uponretirement,theundersignedelectstoforegoanypaymentpursuantto
    SectionI.A.1oftheBuncombeCountyEmployeeRetirementIncentivePlanorasamended.The
    employeeisentitledtokeeptheretentionpaymenteveniftheEarlyRetirementIncentiveiscanceled
    priortotheemployeesdateofretirement.

    AmountofSalary: $241,790.73

    EarliestDateEmployeeCanRetirefromCountybasedonthisAgreement:12/31/17
