Shortly describe the three dimensions (structural, psychological, and behavioral) of the diversity
model explained by Hurtado and others.

Do you see any similarity between the three dimensions of this model and goal one of stat 112
described on page one of the syllabus.

As research has shown, tallies of diverse individuals on a campus alone have not served as a
strong enough motivating force to change practices. Given this finding, what are the potential
steps that you think the universities, professors, and students could take in order to:

1. Create a campus climate in which people will have the right attitude, abilities, and skills
to interact with a variety of social identity groups, and
2. Make it possible for different social identity groups to attain the desired academic
outcomes

Example of social identity groups are ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, country of origin, and
religion.
