Conclusion

The chosen species of genus Allium displayed a diverse number of phenotypic variations as indicated by
the data in the table. Moreover, these data were presented in class a means to verify the physical traits.
In spite of the differences, the species of the genus Allium exhibited specific traits that bind them
together as one taxa such the the presence of leaf stalks and bulbs (though A. ampeloprasum does not
possess a bulb in its present condition, it may have possessed it in its primordial stage and lost it via
adaptation to its environment.
