Learning to talk, read and write fluently are the most important skills in which a child must
engage during their primary years, and are the key to the rest of their school curriculum.
This book focuses on contexts for and approaches to the teaching of primary English at Key
Stage 2, in the light of the new National Curriculum. Through a series of guided activities,
