FOREWORD
The Ministry of Energy is supporting the strategy of
the UAE government and aspiring to achieve UAE .2021
vision 2021. In cooperation with other authorities, the
ministry is keen on accomplishing the objectives of
the National Agenda 2021, acting as a major and as a 2021
contributing authority. All the employees in the Ministry
seek to attain the vision of a society, which preserves .
its resources, and enjoy a variety of energy sources that
would fulfill long lasting sustainability.
Given the importance of data in developing, reviewing,
and measuring strategies and decision-making, added
to the Ministry eagerness to provide accurate and
reliable data for both sectors of energy and water.
This would function as a reference to assist strategy
developers and decision makers, we are pleased to
issue this annual statistical report produced by the .2016
Ministry of Energy for the year 2016.
This report presents data of different sectors of energy
including crude oil, natural gas, electricity and water
as well as the contribution of the petroleum sector to
economic variables such as gross domestic product
and the total exports of the UAE for years 2011 to 2015 2015-2011
in both Arabic and English. .
In the end, the Ministry would like to express its deep
gratitude to the federal and regional entities that
contribute in providing us with such important data,
hoping that this fruitful cooperation will continue into .
