A Brief Guide to Applying to


Programs using ERAS
Purpose of This Presentation
During SOAP week, residency applicants who did
not match to a position may use ERAS to send
applications to ACGME-accredited programs
where they did not apply during the ERAS
application season.
This presentation is designed to give an overview
of how to apply to programs during the SOAP
process using ERAS.
If you are reapplying to a program you have
applied to, please review A Brief Guide to
Repplying to Programs using ERAS
Before Applying to Programs
Register for MyERAS.
Update MyERAS Profile information, if necessary.
Update or add new personal statement(s), if necessary.
Work with LoR Authors to secure any new letters of recommendation, if necessary.
Meet NRMP eligibility criteria for SOAP participation:
Available to begin training on July 1, 2015.
12 p.m., ET on Fri., March 13: SOAP Eligibility email sent from NRMP, eligibility
determined by the NRMP.
Overview - Applying to Programs
Review important information regarding the 2015 SOAP process.
Review the unfilled List in the NRMP R3 system.
Apply Through MyERAS:
1. Log into your MyERAS account.
2. Select the Programs tab -> Click the Search Programs sub-tab.
3. Search for each unfilled program using their ACGME ID.
4. Assign documents.
5. Click on the Apply to Programs sub-tab.
6. Select the programs to which you would like to apply.
7. Click Apply to Programs.
