PROJECT

This medal represents for me the end of my school stage and the beginning of a new stage in my
life.

We have studied at Santa Maria school and it is a tradition to make a farewell ceremony to the
high school students in their last year.

This ceremony is usually held at the end of the year, where only family members, teachers and
students attend. The ceremony consists of three parts, the first is the celebration of a mass of
thanksgiving. Then, all the students go to the front to sing the Ave Maria in a sign of
consecration to the virgin Maria.

After that, all the students go back on stage to sing a song that represents them and finally, the
teachers give us our remembrance medals along with a diploma with the photo of the whole
promotion.

Finally, a toast is performed; fills the coliseum with many applause and countless photos for the
memory.
