Narration Paragraph

Subject: The day I met a true friend

It was in College during orientation, where I first met a friend, Ben. I greeted him and took time to

get to know him by asking him several questions about himself. Next, we decided to go for lunch

together and even talked more about ourselves. I found myself telling him everything about me,

especially the challenges I was going through. First, he was very sorry about my problems and he

talked to me about them. He encouraged me to have hope in life and never to give up in life, especially

when God is in the lead. Next, he vowed to always help me with whatever I might need, and this made

me happy since I had actually met a person who was very understanding to me. I didnt have a lot of

things to sustain me for the whole semester, but I had hope in me that I would be able to make it all

through. Later, Ben even allowed me to move in and live with him in the same apartment, since he

actually cared about me and wanted to see to it that I had a positive stay in college. Afterwards, we

spent much of our time together: going to church, going out for dinner, watching documentaries and

movies, and studying. He financed most of the long distance activities for me just to ensure I was

happy. Afterwards, when school was closed and I didnt have a place to stay, he decided to take me to

his place and stay with his parents. Later, he decided to assist me in finding a part time job that I could

do at least to earn some cash which could sustain me more. I learned the importance of friendship and

that a friend in deed is a friend in need.
