To be a saint means that every part of me belongs to God.

These are few of the many words that I will

never forget from the International Eucharistic Congress Youth Day held last January 28, 2016.
Archbishop Barron said that our goal in life is to be saints of God. It is then that I realized that our true
goal in life is not be the richest person or the most powerful person. Its not about being on top of the
pyramid. Our ultimate goal is to become a saint. If becoming a saint is our goal, we tend to become like
Jesus. We live the way Jesus lives. We act like Jesus acts. We love like Jesus loves. And if we do this, we
become part of God.

Being able to attend and be part of the International Eucharistic Congress is a very special gift. Not
everyone is able to attend. I believe that it is God made it possible for me to attend the IECYD. Being
part of this event does not only open your mind about the catechism of the Eucharist, but also opens
your heart to the Eucharist. In this event, I learned to love the Eucharist. I learned to love the Church. I
better understood my religion.

The IECYD is a very fruitful and meaning event in my life. It touches all aspects of life physically,
mentally, emotionally, socially, and spiritually. It was also very inspiring, especially when Mr. Paul Ponce
shared his life experiences to us and sharing to us how he puts his faith in God.

After the IECYD, I know I became a different person, different in a good way. Attending Eucharistic
Celebrations feels different now. Its like at the back of your heart and mind; you know that the Bread
and Wine is truly Jesus and that Jesus is really present.

Christ in us, our hope of glory.
