K kicks off Tuesday when top candidates meet at
s the Ardmore Convention Center for an event local
, party leaders are billing as The Great Debate.
The gubernatorial contendersDrew Edmond-
s son, former attorney general; Connie Johnson,
. former state senator; and Scott Inman, minority
. speaker of the house offer registered Democrat
and Independent voters three quality leaders with
solid experience in government, Kyle Lawson,
Carter County Democratic Party chair said.

tested race, Lawson said.
Attorney Fred Collins, nationally recognized
n debate coach and judge, will moderate the event.
He will be selecting questions submitted prior to

environment, core services, state budget issues,
health care and judicial reform.
The candidates will hear the questions for the
rst time on stage and will given two minutes to
offer an answer each of the six rounds. The pro-
gram will end with a nal two-minute wrap-up
by each candidate.
Doors will open at 6 p.m., for attendees to enjoy
a hors doeuvres and a cash bar. The event will begin
