Is all bias bad? Good? Is it a false dichotomy?

In my opinion, bias has a neutral effect to most of us. We do tend to judge based on the many factors
we perceive from others, however this does not carries any weight in our actual knowledge base of the
individual/s. It is only temporary until more information is given, only then we can predetermine what
kind of group we are dealing with and how we perceive that group. It has a great deal of importance in
presentations and events. The size of the group along with how they manifest themselves. In study by
Liebkind, Henning-Lindblom, & Solheim, (2008). It was argued that Socio-structural variables like
relative group size and relative group status moderate group members search for positive social
identities and are known to affect intergroup attitudes and behavior.

What is the impact of bias on communications?

When it comes to bias in communication as it relates to how concrete you desire to connect with your
audience. It is proven that being concrete in subject can affect intergroup bias. In a study made by
Assilamhou, Lepastourel, & Test, (2013). tangible descriptions on a subject tends to favor intergroup
bias which are more like to favor the intergroup over the outer group. In essence being straight forward
in a subject helps with in views, behaviors, attitudes, preferences and/or perception.
