Pon Vidyashram , Valasaravakkam celebrated the 71st Independence

Day on 15.08.2017(Tuesday). Mrs. Jothi Lakshmi Sub Inspector of

Police hoisted the flag and took the salute.
The spark of patriotism engulfed the campus. Students offered their
reverence and respect to the martyrs of our country and saluted the
National Flag.
Students presented cultural programs in their hues which spread
fragrance of Nationalism and Unity. In short, everyones heart was
filled with the fervor of love for the Motherland.
The Chief Guest spoke about the sacrifices made by the freedom
fighters and emphasized the necessity for peace and unity, which
are the need of this hour. She appreciated the efforts of the students
to make the program a grand success and assured that she would
support the school in the RSP March Past practice.
