After watching the documentary film by Al Gore entitled An Inconvenient truth, which
is basically about former U.S Presidential candidate raising awareness about the cataclysmic
effects of Global warming upon the environment, has left me even more apprehensive about the
reality of the massive destruction created by human beings each and every day to Mother earth.
To recall, the documentary film was released way back in 2006, the data and research conducted
over the changes in the over-all system of our environment throughout many years were presented
and the results are definitely concerning. Much is left to now to my own conclusions the gravity
of the destruction today, over a decade after the film was released. One could only imagine the
rapid and serious destruction human beings could create in such a span of time. The thought of
having that question regarding the extent of devastation to the environment human beings could
create in a span of ten years is troublesome. But then again, the results are discernible in every
day. The changes in the temperature, the amount of rainfall in every down pour, the news of natural
calamities around the world leaves not to the mind anymore the answers to question of the extent
of the environmental destruction. It is seen every day, in all the corners of the globe.

On a lighter side, much can be said about the passion and conviction of Al Gore as a figure
to pave the way for future leaders to raise more awareness and initiate movements to reduce, if not
obliterate the detrimental activities of human beings to the environment. His example is one that
should be emanated by leaders all over the world. In is such a shame that people who is sincere in
their motives to serve the best interests of the people usually do not end up in power.
