Common Student Experiences

Summative assessments are agreed upon by all collaborative teachers and are
common

Summatives are graded in the same manner (e.g.same use of rubrics, same marking
schemes, same expectations for the students)

Lab experiences are common

Formative assessment experiences are common (including homework expectation)

Depth of information and focus is common between collaborators

Common language is used in instruction

Students have the same access to virtual resources

Pedagogical approaches within each unit is common (e.g. modeling, CER, inquiry,
etc.)

Common agreements between collaborative teaching partners


Each collaborative meeting has an agenda and goals set in advance

All collaborators come to meetings prepared with resources or having viewed


necessary materials

Timelines and goals for collaborative tasks are set and followed through with

Team members have the opportunity to work to their strengths when tasks are
assigned/chosen

All members assume positive intentions

Collaborators exhibit patience when things do not work out as planned and commit to
spending time on reflection to improve our practice

Collaborators are flexible and encourage each other to try new approaches in our
lessons

Collaborators check in regularly to ensure consistency, clarity and coherence
