Subject : Request for Confirmation of Variations, Adjustments and New Rates

Following your submission of the agreed new rates for items of works not included in the
signed contract agreement, we have requested the Employers approval of the new rates
through our letter SWS/KF-WWTP1 & 2/080/17 dated 25 March 2017.

In the meantime, we have computed the revised quantities related to excavation, backfilling
and cart away works for all units of the referenced projects based on the submitted first draft
geotechnical report.

Accordingly, we hereby request your good office to give us:

1. Confirmation on variation and adjustments made as per the attached revised bill of
quantities
2. New rates with detail cost break down for item fulfilling the criteria stated in GCC
Clause 12.3(a) for our office evaluation and approval.(Extra over for item 1.2 for
Excavation in hard rock).

Therefore, you are advised to respond the above points in the soonest possible time to issue
out the variation order no.1 for further Employer office approval.
