GRAMMAR
The Focus of This Lesson Is How to Say "Only" or "Nothing but" Using
.
"We only have this model here."
When you want to say "only" or "just" in Korean, the simplest way to say it is to use the word
(man).
For Example:
1. .
du gae-man juseyo.
"Give me just two."
But oftentimes, using (man) is not strong enough, so the expression we use more
commonly in order to really emphasize the meaning of "only" is (bakke). We always use
(bakke) with a negative verb, because (bakke) literally means "outside" or "out of,"
and by using a negative verb with (bakke), the entire sentence emphasizes the meaning
of "only."
Construction
For Example:
1. .
igeot bakk-e eopseoyo.
"I only have this one."
2. .
jeo bakk-e an wasseoyo.
"I'm the only one who came."
