IRL ear readers after
one year of search-
ing, I am pleased
to sign the first editorial of
Multi News Ireland. This is
a multi cultural and multi
lingual newspaper directed to
non Irish nationals and Irish
citizens, where non nation-
als account for 10% of our
population on total of 4.2
millions. This newspaper will
have sixteen pages includ-
ing advertising our exclusive
source of finance. For all the
non national communities
that this paper does not report
on the reason is actually clear
cut, simply because we could
not enclose every world com-
munity in Ireland. Therefore
we apologise to the twenty six
immigrants from Luxemburg
and the same for the 11161
Mr and Mrs Chinese in
Ireland and to every other
neighbouring countries not
included. I wish to extend to
a wider range of communi-
ties around the world in the
future. To whom may stumble
upon how I came up with
this idea. My answer is “that
I was enormously anxious to
comprehend more about these
new neighbours who came
to Ireland after the official
entry of the ten new states
into the EU in 2004. Thus for
that reason I will always have
pleasure in accepting positive
stories from you as a non Irish
national living in Ireland.

tēvzemē, tika aizsākts jau vairā-
kus mēnešus atpakaļ. Sekretariāts
izveidoja speciālu Darba grupu,
kurā darbojās vairāki eksperti
gan no valsts, gan privātā, gan
nevalstiskā sektora, turklāt para-
lēli organizēja diskusiju grupas,
, kurās viedokli par problēmu
apsprieda un priekšlikumus
iespējamajiem risinājumiem
sniedza uzņēmēji un valsts ies-
tāžu pārstāvji, iedzīvotāji, kuri
plāno izceļot vai ir jau izceļojuši
darba meklējumos, kā arī mig-
rācijas eksperti.Īpašu uzdevumu
ministrs sabiedrības integrācijas

jot informatīvo ziņojumu, uzska-
stāko izglītību, valsts sektorā
nodarbinātie, aptaujātie ar

Latvijas dalību Eiropas
Savienībā kā “sliktu lietu” bie-
žāk vērtējuši respondenti, kuri
vecāki par 55 gadiem, pētīju-
ta, ka izstrādātie priekšlikumi ir
īstenojami dzīvē un veicinās ne
tikai izceļojošo latviešu atgrieša-
nos Latvijā, bet radīs apstākļus,
kas sekmēs Latvijas iedzīvotāju

Ministrs uzskata, ka tas veicinās

vairākos virzienos, nodrošinot
izceļošanas un atgriešanās
pastāvīgu monitoringu, veicot
masveidīgas izbraukšanas pre-
venciju, veicinot atgriešanos, kā
arī atvieglojot atgriešanās pro-
cesu un reintegrāciju dzimtenē.
Viens no svarīgākajiem punk-
tiem ir dzīves un darba apstākļu
uzlabošana Latvijā, kas paredz

informative report to the gov-
ernment which provides particu-
lar steps to be done in the near-
est future in order to facilitate
Latvians to return back to the
country after mass emigration
during the last few years, mostly
because of the economical rea-
sons.The work for the prepara-
tion of the report was started
several months ago in order to
gather the information about the
problems which are the reason
why Latvians leave the country
and go abroad to search for a
better life. A significant work
was invested to gather ideas and
formulate recommendations to
create an attractive state image
which could motivate Latvians
to return back to their country.
Ministry founded a Work group
where several experts from state,
private and non-governmental
sector were working together,
meanwhile organizing also
several discussion groups where
opinion about the current
problems and suggested actions
were discussed between entre-
preneurs and representatives of
the state institutions, migration
experts and people who are cur-
rently planning to leave Latvia or
already have emigrated from the
country for economical reasons.

airiai buvo atėmę

toks dabar yra iš Šakių kilusios
28 metų Renatos Staugaitienės
gyvenimo tikslas.
Rugsėjo pradžioje Lietuvoje
pas tėvus apsilankiusi moteris
neseniai grįžo į Airiją. Čia jos
vėl laukia varginanti kova su
vietos valdininkais.
2005 metais Airijoje su maža-
mete dukra įsikūrusi mote-
ris vėliau su savo gyvenimo
draugu Kęstu susilaukė sūnaus
Nedo, kuriam dabar yra 8
mėnesiai.
Vasarą Airijos socialinės tarny-
bos pareigūnai atėmė jų vaiką
Po įnirtingos kovos kūdikį pora
atgavo tik praėjus savaitei.
Tačiau ramybė nesugrįžo.
Airijos valdininkai reikalauja,
jog Nedo tėvai gyventų ats-
kirai. Priešingu atveju Cork
mieste įsikūrę Renata ir Kęstas
praras teisę auginti mažylį.
Poros santuoka oficialiai neį-
registruota, tačiau taip vaka-
ruose gyvena daugybė žmo-
nių. „Juk mes nesame kokie
bomžai, negalintys pasirūpin-
ti vaikais. Kęstą aš vadinu
vyru, o mano dukra -- tėčiu.
Niekada nemaniau, jog šei-
mos barnis gali baigtis tokiu
žiauriu išgyvenimu“, -- kalbėjo
R.Staugaitienė.
Moteriai sunku prisiminti
incidentą, nuo kurio pasidėjo
jų bėdos. Tą dieną jų namuo-
se svečiavosi Renatos sesuo.
Kompanija kieme vaišinosi
alumi. Moteris su vaikais irgi
buvo kieme. R.Staugaitienė
apskritai nevartoja alkoholio
ir nerūko. Jos draugas alaus
išgeria labai retai. Aštuonmetė
jos dukra pradėjo išdykauti
-- ėmė laistyti alų ir erzinti,
jog Kęstą paskųs socialiniams
pareigūnams. Pora garsiai
apsižodžiavo, o mergaitė apie
tai kitą dieną papasakojo savo
mokytojai.
Po to į jų namus atvyko parei-
gūnai. žmonės teko aiškintis
dėl konflikto jie garantavo, jog
šeimoje viskas yra gerai. TŽ
sykį pareigūnai atlyžo, bet ėmė
atidžiau stebėti lietuvių šeimą.
Po kelių mėnesių Renata ir
Kęstas susiginčijo. Vyras nesu-
sivaldė ir sušėrė jai per veidą.

R.Staugaitienė nuvyko į polici-
ją atsiimti prašymo. Paaiškėjo,
jog apie konfliktą šioje šeimoje
jau pranešta vaikų teises ginan-
tiems pareigūnams.
Po kiek laiko, kai Kęstas buvo
darbe, su kūdikiu namuose
buvusi Renata sulaukė netikėto
pareigūnų vizito. Moteriai jie
pareiškė atvykę paimti Nedo
ir liepė skubiai surinkti vaiko
daiktus.
Renatą ištiko šokas.
Prastai angliškai kalbanti
R.Staugaitienė reikalavo paro-
dyti jai teismo sprendimą.
Moteris teigė, jog pareigū-
nai jai nepateikė jokio teis-
mo dokumento: „Jie išplėšė
klykiantį sūnų man iš rankų,
paėmė kelis jo daiktus ir išva-
žiavo“.
Sukrėsta moteris apie netikėtą
bėdą telefonu pranešė degali-
nėje dirbančiam Kęstui. Šis,
apstulbintas netikėto įvykio,
paskambino airiui advokatui.
Tą pačią dieną Kęstas ir Renata
nuvyko į policiją, norėdami
pamatyti teismo sprendimą bei
išsiaiškinti, kur yra jų kūdikis.
Socialiniame skyriuje jiems
pasakė, jog vaikas atimtas dėl
to, kad pora ęsą jam kelia
grėsmę.
„Dar po birželio mėnesį vyku-
sio pareigūnų vizito man buvo
pasiūlyta lankyti anoniminių
alkoholikų reabilitacijos grupę.
Tačiau tuomet aš atsisakiau.
Man šis reikalavimas pasirodė
absurdiškas.
Esu vienintelis šeimos maitin-

džių pareigūnai nesakė, kur yra
kūdikis, ir neleido su juo pasi-
matyti.Kartą jie tvirtino, jog
Nedas yra saugus kažkokioje
šeimoje. Kitą kartą -- kad glo-
bos įstaigoje. Tačiau viena airė
pasakė, jog saloje nėra kūdikių
globos namų -- tik įstaigos,
kuriose motinos būna kartu su
savo vaikais.
Moteris kūdikio atėmimą
išgyveno daug skaudžiau, nei
Kęsto jai skeltą antausį. Pora
savo sūnų atgavo bemaž po
aštuonių dienų, kai į vyko teis-
mo posėdis.
Pora net nustėro išvydusi
apleistą vaiką. Berniukas buvo
iššutęs, galvoje atsiradę išbėri-
mų. Nedas slogavo ir kosėjo.
Namuose slapta buvo įreng-
tos stebėjimo kameros. Pora
buvo sekama. „Kai vieną kartą
susitikome su Kęstu pasikal-
bėti apie mūsų reikalus, parei-
gūnai dėl to mums pažėrė
daugybę priekaištų“, -- sakė
R.Staugaitienė.
Moteris tvirtino mylinti savo
sūnaus tėvą ir norinti gyven-
ti su juo bei abiem vaikais.
Kęstas dėl šventos ramybės
nusprendė lankyti anonimi-
nių alkoholikų reabilitacijos
grupės užsiėmimus. Prieš kurį
laiką moteris su vaikais grįžo
į Lietuvą, nes baiminosi juos
prarasti. Dukra pradėjo moky-
ti vienoje Šakių mokykloje.
Mergaitė ilgisi savo draugių
Airijoje, tačiau sakė, jog bijo
grįžti į tą šalį.
Airijoje moteris tikisi, kad
kartu su gyvenimo draugu
pavyks išsiaiškinti savo teises
bei galimybes svetimoje šalyje.
„Pažįstami airiai sakė, jog tokio
drastiško pareigūnų elgesio bei
pažeminimo nebūtume sulau-
kę, jei būtume šios šalies pilie-
čiai“, -- kalbėjo dviejų vaikų
motina.

nie w Polsce. Wzrost sprzedaży
podniósł sie o 10 % w 2004 i
2005 i nabrał gwałtownego przy-
spieszenia w 2006, wzrastając,
o 20%, co jest trzy razy więcej
niż średni wzrost w całej Europie
Środkowej. Google, najbardziej
popularna wyszukiwarka w swie-
ceie, wybrała Kraków w 2006 jako
miejsce budowy swego środkowo
europejskiego centrum informa-
tycznego, stając sie 31 placów-
ką tego typu na świecie. Google

in Bulgaria said
it will alert the European
Commission and the domestic
anti-trust authority about
some irregularities on the local
power market. The Bulgarian
power market was liberalised
on January 1, 2007. As it turns
out, NEK, the national power
grid utility that is also licensed
to operate as an electricity
trader, has swooped in and

Savienības valstīm ir satricinā-
jusi valsti un jau pašlaik tiek
izjusts darbaspēka trūkums,
kas nākotnē var radīt nopietnas
problēmas ekonomikas uzplau-
kumam. Kopš Latvijas pievie-
nošanās Eiropas Savienībai, arī
cenas valstī paaugstinājušās, nu
jau sasniedzot vidusmēra līme-
ni, kāds novērojams Eiropas

(PiS) and the opposition, led
by the Civic Platfrom (PO),
Poles will cast their votes again
on October 21. The lawmakers
decided to dissolve the parlia-
mentary assembly following the
collapse of the ruling coalition
amid the corruption scandals,
which left the government
without majority support. Still,
the opinion polls don’t leave a
room for hope that anything
will change for a better after

ues to show high economic
growth and remains one of
the fastest-growing economies
in the European Union (EU).
The growth is so strong that
overheating is a clear risk which
has led also to a high inflation,
keeping Latvia from meeting
the convergence criterion for
joining the EMU. The govern-
ment has taken steps to take
control of the inflation but it
will take time to stabilize the
booming economy, so Latvia’s
adoption of the euro is now
expected to be further delayed
until 2012.
The fast economic upswing and
the migration of a large part of
the workforce to other EU mar-
kets have triggered local labor
reserves. The supply of labor
is expected to be exhausted in
a few years’ time. Since Latvia
joined the EU, prices have
increased, moving towards the
EU average. The high infla-
tion is largely caused by rising
energy costs, housing costs and
food prices.
The largest investors in Latvia
are Germany, Sweden and
Denmark, but Latvia’s trade
relationships have shifted west-
ward. In the second quarter of
2006, almost 80% of Latvia’s
exports went to EU countries

The Newman Institute on
Barrett Street, holds Art Exhi-
bitions by different artists and
groups of artists each month. It
is also the venue for Ballina Film
Club and numerous other arts

exhibition areas, an auditorium,
practice rooms, art studios and a
coffee shop. The new library on
Pearse Street also hosts events.
The Humbert Summer School
takes place in August each year
attracting visitors from around
the world and, of course, Ballina
is the home of past President of
Ireland, Mary Robinson. Streets
packed with a rich variety of
shops, award winning pubs,
superb restaurants, nightclubs
and with access to a variety
of excellent sports and leisure
amenities make Ballina a vibrant

Latviešu tautas pasaka
Reiz dzīvoja ķēniņš, kuram bija
skaista meita. Kādu dienu skaistā
meita saslima un ķēniņš uz pili
saaicināja dažādus ārstus, lai tie
mēģinātu meitu izārstēt. Ārsti
izmēģināja dažādas lietas, bet
nevienam neizdevās meitai palī-
dzēt. Kad cerības jau bija gandrīz
zudušas, kāds no ārstiem ķēni-
ņam ieminējās par pēdējo iespēju
– vajagot sameklēt zelta ābolu, jo
tas meitu izārstēšot.
Ķēniņš, paklausījis ārstu, izziņoja
pa visu karaļvalsti ziņu: kurš
atnesīs zelta ābolu un izārstēs
princesi, dabūs to sev par sievu.
Karaļvalstī dzīvoja arī kāds tēvs ar
trim dēliem. Kādu rītu tēvs, pie-
cēlies, izgāja savas mājas pagalmā
un durvju priekšā ieraudzīja ābeli
ar trim zelta āboliem. Nobrīnījies
par neparasto koku ar zelta aug-
ļiem, viņš atcerējās karaļa izslu-
dināto ziņu un, noplūcis ābolus,
devās pie dēliem.
Iedevis katram dēlam pa vienam
ābolam, viņš tiem sacīja: „Ejiet,
dēli, uz pili un izmēģiniet laimi!”
Pirmais uz pili aizgāja vecākais
dēls. Viņš paņēma ceļam līdzi
arī gabalu maizes, bet zelta ābolu
ielika kabatā. Ejot uz pili, dēls
nokļuva biezā mežā. Turpinot
ceļu, viņš sajuta izsalkumu un

pagriezās un pazuda.
Otrā dienā vecākais dēls nonāca
ķēniņa pilī. Sulaiņi viņu aizveda
pie ķēniņa un tad vecākajam
dēlam jautāja, ko šis atnācis uz
pili un ko vēloties. Vecākais dēls,
paklanījies, atbildēja, ka atnesis
uz pili zelta ābolu un gribot prin-
cesi par sievu.
„Vispirms parādi ābolu,” vecāka-
jam dēlam sacīja ķēniņš. Vecākais
dēls tūliņ bāza roku kabatā, lai
izvilktu ābolu, bet ābols kabatā
pēkšņi bija pārvērties par
čūsku. Ķēniņš par šādu mānī-
šanos lika iemest vecāko dēlu
cietumā.
Nākamais laimi izmēģināt uz pili
gāja vidējais dēls. Bet arī vidējam
dēlam klājās tāpat kā vecākajam.
Tad ceļā uz pili posās jaunākais
dēls. Arī viņš ceļam iebāza kabatā

jam dēlam, ķēniņš aicināja iet
pie meitas. Iegājis meitas istabā,
jaunākais dēls to iedeva slimajai
skaistulei, kura to ieraudzījusi
tūlīt kļuva vesela.
Ķēniņš sarīkoja abiem greznas
kāzas, kurās tika ielūgti daudzi
viesi, un pēc tam jaunākais dēls
ar ķēniņa meitu dzīvoja laimīgi
līdz mūža beigām.

Latvian fairy tale
Once upon a time there lived a
king and he had a very beautiful
daughter but one day she got
very ill. The king invited to his
castle the best doctors even from
very distant countries but no one
could help to heal his daughter.
One of the doctors finally said
that there is left just one last pos-
sibility – there exist an apple tree
in the world and it has golden
apples. Only a golden apple can
help to heal beautiful princess.
The king sent out a message and
said that the one, who will come
to his castle, present a golden
apple and heal his daughter, will
be allowed to marry his daughter.
In the kingdom lived a man who
had three sons. One day, when a
man when out in his garden he
saw a beautiful apple tree in the
middle of the garden and it had
golden apples. A man remem-
bered about the king`s message,
picked apples and gave one to
each of the sons and said: “Go
to the king`s castle and try your
luck!”
First went the oldest son. He
took also a piece of bread with
him, as the way was long and he
needed something for the lunch.

How it all started
Sean was involved early on
in community development
work; an experience, which
helped consolidate his belief
that if you believe you can do
something, it, can be done.
In the late seventies Sean had
an informal meeting with the
purchasing manager of Asahi
to find out what the company
were importing and to see if
it could be made locally. One
of the things we came up with
was stainless steel components
and we started to investigate

to polska gazeta drukowana w

pewnością niewielu
mieszkańców Zachodniej
Europy wie, że pomiędzy
XV, a XVIII wiekiem Polska była
jednym z bardziej demokratycznie
zarządzanych państw na
kontynencie. W tym okresie w
większości krajów umacniały
się tendencje autorytarne. Ku
wzmocnieniu władzy książęcej
lub królewskiej ewoluowały Prusy,
do czasów rewolucji pod koniec
XVIII wieku pełen absolutyzm
panował we Francji (wyrażający
się w słynnym powiedzeniu
Ludwika XV – „Państwo to ja”),
skrajnym przykładem mogą być
despotycznie zarządzane Rosja lub
Imperium Osmańskie. Jedynie
władza np. króla angielskiego
systematycznie słabła, złożona
struktura narodowościowa
osłabiała też władzę Cesarza
Austriackiego.
Tymczasem w Polsce stopniowo
rozwijał się podział władzy.
Oczywiście nie była to demokracja
w dzisiejszym tego słowa
rozumieniu, ponieważ duża część
mieszkańców została wyłączona
z praw obywatelskich. Posiadała
je szlachta, ale, co niezwykle
istotne, status ten uzyskało ok.
10% wszystkich mieszkańców.
Taki odsetek osób dysponujących
prawami wyborczymi i pewnymi
swobodami obywatelskimi był
niezwykle wysoki, w porównaniu
z większością pozostałych krajów
europejskich. Podobny odsetek
mieszkańców posiadających
pełnię praw wyborczych w Anglii
osiągnięto po tzw. reformach
Greya w 1832 roku, a we Francji
w czasach tzw. monarchii lipcowej
(1830-42).
Ważnym etapem na drodze rozwoju
polskiego parlamentaryzmu były
przywileje koszyckie, wydane w
1374 roku. Szlachta uzyskała na
nich zapewnienie, że żadne decyzje
dotyczące jej statusu i praw nie
zostaną podjęte przez monarchę
autorytarnie, tzn. bez konsultacji
z zainteresowanymi. Początkowo
rozwijały się przedstawicielstwa
regionalne (tzw. sejmiki ziemskie).
Prawo uczestnictwa w nich miała
cała szlachta z danego regionu.
Z biegiem czasu wykształciła
się zasada reprezentacji. Na
sejmikach regionalnych wybierano
przedstawicieli, którzy będą
reprezentować lokalną społeczność
na forum ogólnokrajowym (tzw.
Sejm). Pod koniec XV wieku
system ten zaczął się stabilizować.
Sejm stał się regularnie zwoływaną
Izbą Poselską, na którą zjeżdżali
się demokratycznie wybierani
przedstawiciele szlachty. Wkrótce
z Sejmu, przekształconej w Senat
Rady Królewskiej i Monarchy
ukształtował się polski parlament.
Parlament w tej konwencji
funkcjonował do końca XVIII
wieku. W 1791 roku uchwalono
tzw. Konstytucję 3 maja, uważaną
za pierwszą klasyczną ustawę
zasadniczą w Europie. Na nowo
układała ona relacje pomiędzy
szlachtą, Senatem i Królem.

– cztery lata później ościenne
mocarstwa dokonały ostatecznego
rozbioru Polski.

robably not many citizens
of Western Europe are
aware that between the
15th and 18th century, Poland
was one of the most democratic
states on the continent. During
that period, most other nations
noted an increase of authoritarian
tendencies. Prussia evolved
towards the strengthening of
ducal or royal power, and until
the revolution at the end of the
18th century, France was under
fully absolutist rule (exemplified
by the famous words of Louis XIV
“L’etat, c’est moi”), while Russia,
or the Ottoman Empire serve as
an example of pure despotism.
Only the power of, say, the English
king was systematically weakening,
while a complex national structure
served to undermine the authority
of the Austrian Emperor.
Meanwhile, Poland was gradually
developing the separation of
powers. Of course it wasn’t a
democracy in the current meaning
of the word, since most of the
country’s inhabitants didn’t have
any civil rights. Those belonged to
the nobility, however it is crucial
to remember that this status was
shared by about 10% of the entire
population. It was an incredibly
high percentage of people entitled
to a right to vote and certain civil
liberties, as compared to other
European countries. A similar
percentage of citizens with an
unrestricted right to vote was
achieved in England only after the
so-called Grey reforms of 1832,
and in France during the so-called
July Monarchy (1830-1842).
The Koszyce Privileges, issued
in 1374, were an important
milestone for the development of
the Polish parliamentary system.
They granted the nobility an
assurance that the monarch won’t
make any decisions regarding their
status without first consulting
them. The first ones to develop
were the local representative
bodies (the so-called land sejmik),
in which all the nobles from a
given region were entitled to
participate. There, representatives
were chosen, who were granted the
mandate to speak for the region
during the national convention
(the so-called Sejm). At the end
of the 15th century, the system
began to crystallize. Sejm became
a regular Representative Body,
attended by democratically elected
representatives of the nobility.
Soon, the Polish parliamentary
system was established with the
Sejm, along with the Monarch,
and the Senate - which evolved
from the Royal Council - as its
foundations.
This parliamentary system
functioned until the end of the 18th
century. In 1791, the so-called 3rd
May Constitution was adopted,
which is considered to be the first
classical European constitution. It
re-defined the relations between
the nobility, the Senate, and the
King. Unfortunately, it didn’t
last long - four years later, the
neighboring Powers performed
the final partition of Poland.
It is difficult to unambiguously
assess the Polish parliamentary
system between the 15th, and
18th century. On one hand,
by historical standards, it made
Poland undoubtedly one of the
most democratic countries in
Europe. On the other hand,
some claim that the Polish Sejm’s
lack of efficiency, the Monarch’s
powerlessness, and the nobility’s
preoccupation with its own
interests were the main causes
leading towards Poland’s gradual
decline in the 18th century.
However, an attempt to determine
whether that is true and properly
assess the role of other factors
would require a separate analysis.

Italian words have been enrich-
ing English since the Sixteenth
Century. They tell us a lot
about the culture and mindset
of Italy as contrasted with that
of England. A country borrows
words for concepts which it
does not have itself, and so the
various categories of borrow-
ings from one language tell us

Moto Mondiale Vince Valentino Rossi !

alentino Rossi torna
`Dottore` nella
quint’ultima prova del
Mondiale 2007 sul circuito
dell’Estoril. Al termine di una
gara emozionante il marchi-
giano ritrova il sapore del podio
e soprattutto di un successo che
mancava ormai da quattro gare
(l’ultimo ad Assen, in Olanda).
Valentino, alla 62.a vittoria
nella classe regina (l’88.a in car-
riera, la 4.a quest’anno) regala
ai colori italiani una pietra
miliare, il 200.o successo di
un pilota nostrano nella classe
regina del motociclismo.
Ancora una volta il Gran
Premio del Portogallo porta
bene all’alfiere Yamaha, che
sul tracciato lusitano ha vinto
cinque volte di cui quattro
consecutive dal 2001 al 2004.

Honda e’ tornato competitivo,
ma nella volata finale non ha
potutto nulla contro la rabbia
del Dottore. Delusione anche
per Casey Stoner, terzo al tra-

cui poteva vincere il Mondiale
piloti in sella alla Ducati.
L’australiano scatta bene dalla
prima fila e si piazza subito
davanti, inseguito da Pedrosa
e Hayden, scattato dalla pole
position. Valentino invece parte
male e lotta con Melandri e
Hopkins, sorpassandoli in una
manciata di giri. Nel frattempo
al comando si porta la Honda
di Pedrosa, che infila una
Ducati sotto tono (problemi
al freno motore). Ben presto
anche la Yamaha mette le sue
ruote (finalmente le Michelin
non tradiscono) davanti a
Stoner. Rossi non si accontenta
e si porta addirittura al coman-
do a 19 giri dal termine.
Da meta’ gara in poi e’ soltanto
un duello tra Rossi e Pedrosa.
Valentino e lo spagnolo si sor-
passano a ripetizione: in attesa
della volata finale nessuno vuole
stare davanti. Il ritmo “rallenta-
to” permette a Stoner di tornare Pictures taken from TG2
a contatto, ma l’australiano non
puo’ far altro che assistere allo
sprint finale del Dottor Rossi,
che torna a ruggire e tiene
aperto il Mondiale con quat-
tro gare ancora da disputare.
In classifica Valentino si porta
a 211 punti contro i 287 del
ducatista. Da -85 a -76 con
100 punti complessivi ancora
da assegnare. La prossima setti-
mana di nuovo tutti in pista: si Pictures taken from TG2
corre a Motegi, in Giappone.

in Sunday’s Belgian Grand Prix
with a dominant performance
that assured the Italian squad
of the 2007 constructors’ title.
Fernando Alonso and Lewis
Hamilton were third and
fourth for McLaren, but this
time the silver arrows were no
match for the red cars.
The result enabled Alonso to
close in again on Hamilton’s
series lead; the Englishman has
97 points to the Spaniard’s 95,
with Raikkonen now on 84 and

Nick Heidfeld claimed fifth

Toyota took 10th and 11th

tain their qualifying form.
Tonio Liuzzi had his best
result of the season with 12th
for Toro Rosso, ahead of
Rubens Barrichello’s Honda,
Adrian Sutil’s well-driven
Spyker, the ill-handling Super
Aguris of Takuma Sato and
Anthony Davidson, and Sakon
Yamamoto’s Spyker.
