Write up for phone conversation

From this task, I learnt that it can be difficult to merge certain clips in
different locations together in order to make the product flow much
smoother and easier to watch. I could improve the video by adding
transitions to it to test my skills out a bit more. From our how-to-guide, as
a group we were more familiar with the different elements of
cinematography, as a result we were able to use these different angles
and shots when it came to filming to create a more dramatic effect and
keep the audience enticed in the moving image. We used close ups (an
example being the phone) to make it seem dramatic and add tension, as
well as, establishing shots in order to set the scene. By using Mise-en-
scene we were able to generate meaning for example, in the Library
scene with Naomh on the phone, the books allow her to be portrayed as
a character who seems preoccupied. Additionally, the last scene in
which the two meet one another has a large sense of drama present
because of the way Issy is positioned as soon as it starts, she has her
body facing away from Naomh as if she is trying to hide something
which can give off an element of drama and suspense.
