Dear Mr. and Ms. Finlayson and Mr. Ward:
On behalf of Mayor Kasim Reed, thank you for meeting with the City to discuss cooperative
resolution of the Grant Park Gateway Project's current tree removal plan. As you heard from him,
the Mayor is committed to meaningful dialogue between an arborist of your choosing and a City
arborist to identify feasible options for saving trees, To that end, please let me know when you
have selected an arborist so that we can arrange a meeting as quickly as possible, If your arborist
would like to perform a site visit prior to our meeting, | will arrange for an employee to provide
access at the arborist’s convenience. As mentioned, the City will pay your arborist’s fees.
The City's Law Department will work with you on a joint filing to preserve your appeal rights as
we focus on a collaborative approach. Concurrent with our tree discussion, the City will
investigate potential traffic calming measures that may be implemented on Boulevard.
Robin Shahar and 1 will be your points of contact should any issues arise regarding this matter. 1
can be reached at (404) 825-2430 or mjmullinax@atlantaga.gov. We look forward to working with
you.
