The number of annual holidays is determined by statute.

A state employee is entitled to observe Yom Kippur, Cesar Chavez Day or Good Friday in lieu
of any holiday or holidays on which the employees agency is required to be open and staed
to conduct public business.

Each university will notify its employees of the approved holiday schedule.
