OPERATING ACTIVITIES AFTER STG SHUTDOWN

i. After closing the emergency trip valve, close electric live steam valve (MV-
001) and its by-pass valves, close manual live steam valve and its by-pass
valves, and open drain valves and vent valves on live steam pipe line.

ii. Close electric extraction steam valve (MV-002) and its by-pass valves, close
manual extraction steam valve and its by-pass valves, and open drain valves
and vent valves on extraction steam pipe line.

iii. Close electric exhaust steam valve (MV-003) and its by-pass valves, and
open drain valves and vent valves on exhaust steam pipe line.

iv. Close the valves on spray water of the desuperheater (375-ME-02) and the
desuperheater (375-ME-03).

v. Close the valve on the shaft sealing exhaust pipe line which connects to the
dearator.

vi. Open other all drain and vent valves, except MV-004.

vii. Stop the exhaust blower (375-K-02A/B).

viii. When the speed of STG is zero (0rpm), put the turning gear into operation,
and it must continuously run for 120h at least. Before starting the turning
gear, should check the lube oil and speed meet the requirements.

ix. After stopping the turning gear, stop AC lube oil pump.

In addition to the above activities, during STG shut-down, the following routine
activities must be performed:

i. Start up the exhaust blower (375-K-02A/B) once every three (3) days, and
continuously run for 1h.
ii. Start up the auxiliary pump (375-LO-03) once every fifteen (15) days to
check and adjust the governor valve and emergency trip valve.

iii. Routinely check and clean all equipment, instruments, piping and floor and
so on.

iv. Routinely check the quality of lube oil, if need, replace the lube oil.
