Lesson idea implementation: As you address the standards, what will students and teachers do? How will
the project be introduced? How long will it take to complete? How will student learning be assessed? How will
the final product be used to inform/differentiate learning? How will you extend the student learning to a
higher learning level? How will you conclude the lesson? How will you provide feedback to students about
their work? MINIMUM 2 paragraph overview.

The students have been talking about the life cycle or organisms in science. To assess and see if they
understand this concept they will use PowerPoint and create a book/movie. They will choose an organism and
their PowerPoint should show the life cycle of the organism. They will make slides with pictures and
sentences talking about the life cycle. Once they have created their slides they will record their voices on
PowerPoint reading their book. The teacher will then have the students share their work with the class.

This activity should take 3-5 days to complete. The teacher can then save the students work and it can
become an e-book for them to access on the computer or iPad. This way the students can look up and learn
about the different organism and see there all different organisms with their unique life cycles.
