child, Charlie, presumably the couples daughter.
A scruffy, young child, Charlie, is sat doing her work at a
table. She is concentrating heavily with her tongue hanging
out.

Her eyes are shifting as she write, flicking from one side
of the page to the other.

Her homework is seen - a question sheet given to her by her

new teacher, that asks her to explain her summer and future
aspirations.

the back of her hand, removing the beads of sweat.
OVER THE SHOULDER

You can see the goal from over her shoulder.

She begins pacing with her hands on her hips before taking a
deep breath and running back a few paces in preporation for
her shot. She runs forward and kicks the ball, scoring a

You can see Charlies make-shift goal. She has positioned

old fizzy drink cans, general litter and one of her own
shoes to make the edges of a goal.

She begins pacing with her hands on her hips before taking a
deep breath and walking back a few paces, over litter and
broken glass, in preporation for her shot. She carefully
jogs forward and kicks the ball, scoring a goal.

Charlie is smiling and looking around her. She is dressed in
khaki clothing, with a bucket hat on and binoculars around
her neck.

The forest is quiet and scarce of people, the only noises
heard being that of animals. There is a squirrel sitting on
a branch.

Charlie is walking through the forest, using her binoculars

to try and find wildlife. She pauses to try get a better
look but then continues on her way. She walks past a large
branch and disappears from the cameras view.

EXT. ALLEYWAY. EVENING

Charlie re-emerges from behind a different branch - she is
now in a poorly lit alley and is dressed in dirty clothing
with greasy hair.

ESTABLISHING SHOT
The alley is clearly un-safe and not a child-friendly place.
There is broken glass everywhere and litter is seen in
multiple areas. There is a pub nearby - presumably where her
parents are.
Charlie is walking through the alley cautiously, clearly she
does not feel comfortable in her environment.

CLOSE-UP
Charlie has been crying and it is seen in her face that she
is paranoid and scared.
Loud noise is heard: something that
resembles that of a bird taking
flight, but could also be a drunken
man stumbling into the alley.
Charlie turns quickly to face the noise.

A large group of birds fly out of a nearby bush in the
forest.

to them (this cannot be heard)

CHARLIE (CANNOT BE HEARD)

So Mr Ted, is it the same a last
time? A special facial? Yes? Thats
great, Ill do one for you and all
your friends for free.

Charlie is sat down mixing something in a bowl. She has

positioned herself in front of her teddies and is using
cleaning products, such as: fairy liquid, bleach, sink
un-blocker and more, to create a face-mask for her teddies.
She keeps adding more chemicals to the bowl.

She covers her teddies in the mixture, changing the colour

of fur as a result (the bleach).

younger. I am going to be using
lots of different products to
target your bad areas, so just lay
back and relax.
Charlie walks towards the end of the room where all the
products are kept and begins to select a few from the range.
She returns to her client with the selected products and
begins to apply them to her face.
The woman appears to be very calm, trusting Charlie to do a
good job.

She is now in her bathroom at home, which is unhygenic and
outdated in design.

She is pretending to swim in her bath, bobbing her head up

and down and throwing her arms around. Her pretend swimming
game is creating both lots of noise and mess - she is
spilling water out of the bath and onto the floor.

The bathroom door swings open and Charlies mum enters,

shouting at Charlie for the mess (this cannot be heard)
MUM (CANNOT BE HEARD)
(Agressively) You stupid little
bitch! Look at the mess youre
making Charlie. You dont care
about anything do you? You silly
little brat, just wait till your

touch the bag. She walks cautiously towards it regardless,

and begins to rummage through it speedily. She pulls out a
notepad and rips out a page before putting the bag back in
its place again and returning to her seat quickly. (In
Charlies eyes, she has just "stolen" from her dads work
bag, something she could get it serious trouble for)
She begins to read the next question from the list.

Someone is sat on the schools Buddy Bench. The Buddy

Bench is a place for children with no one to play with to

is catagorised by its bus-stop like sign that sits next to
it and reads, Buddy Bench.
MEDIUM SHOT
It becomes clear that it is Charlie sitting on the Buddy
Bench.
