TP4056 Battery Charger

It is a constant current and constant voltage charger for single cell Li-ion
battery.
Blocking diode (to prevent negative charge current) is not required due to
its internal P-Mosfet architecture.
It supplies fixed output voltage of 4.2V and current can be controlled by R4
resistor connected to the PROG pin of the IC.
Changing the value of R4 changes the output current. The maximum
output current is 1A.
Battery Temperature can be sensed by TEMP pin of the IC. If TEMP pins
voltage is below 45% or above 80% of supply voltage VIN for more than
0.15S, this means that batterys temperature is too high or too low,
charging is suspended. The temperature sense function can be disabled by
grounding the TEMP pin.
Upon battery Charge Termination i.e. when the battery is fully charged,
the STDBY pin is pulled low by an internal switch, otherwise pin is in high
impedance state. This pin can be used to indicate fully charged battery
status.
When the battery is being charged, the pin is pulled low by an internal
switch, otherwise pin is in high impedance state. This pin can be used to
indicate battery charging status.
The IC can be disabled by low input to the CE pin. A high input to the pin
puts the IC in normal mode operation. This pin can be driven by TTL/CMOS
logic level.

TP4056 Battery Charger with protection circuit

It is a constant current and constant voltage charger for single cell Li-ion
battery with overvoltage, undervoltage and overcurrent protection.
The over charge protection voltage is 4.3V and over discharge / Deep
Drain protection voltage is 2.5V.
Overvoltage protection: When the voltage of the battery cell exceeds the
overcharge protection voltage, charging is inhibited by turning off of the
charge control MOSFET.
Undervoltage protection: When the voltage of the battery cell goes below
the overdischarge protection voltage, discharging is inhibited by turning
off the discharge control MOSFET.
Overcurrent protection: The discharge current is monitored by sensing the
voltage of CS pin. If the voltage of CS pin exceeds the overcurrent
protection voltage, the overcurrent protection circuit operates and
discharging is inhibited by turning off the discharge control MOSFET.
