Dear Madams:
Thank you for your letter where you express your preoccupations concerning the increase
of sexual exploitation and human traffic during the two sports events that will take place
in Brazil .
Please notice that the Brazilian Government share the same concerns and is forcefully
against all forms of sexual exploitation. Brazilian officials are working hard to repress "sex-
ual tourism" - Ministry of tourism, Political Secretariat for Women and the Human
Rights Secretariat- are just few of the organizations increasing their efforts in the fight
against sexual exploitation during the two great events.
President Dilma Rousseff has also being very vocal about Brazils commitment to fight-
ing this serious problem. " Brazil is happy to welcome the tourists that will arrive for the
World Cup, but it is also ready to fight against sexual tourism," declared the President, after
announcing a hotline (Dial 100) dedicated to denouncing these hideous crimes.
