Operations Manager, Department of Medicine 2007-2009
• Led team of 15 administrative staff who provided clinical support to over 60 clinicians on a
clinic floor consisting of 5 independent outpatient programs.
• Analyzed operational procedures and implemented changes to improve patient access and
financial performance, which resulted in an 11% increase in volume, 44% increase in billed
charges, and 47% increase in net collections. Results were achieved despite operating with 2
fewer full time clinical staff.
• Improved clinic standing from the bottom quartile to the top quartile in overall clinic rankings
on the 2008 Hospital Patient Satisfaction Survey by leading initiative to improve patient
quality of care and satisfaction on floor.
• Participated in strategic planning for clinical expansion to multiple satellite locations
including the establishment of 3 locations in and around Greater Boston.
• Nominated by peer group of managers to co-chair career development workshops held
monthly. Enriched program by arranging for speakers, creating work groups and enhancing
