Part 1

In the article I learned that many of Afghanistans treasures have been lost due to the war and
bombings. I also learned that this museum held objects from 2,200 B.C. to the third century A.D.
Another thing I learned is that the museum is being rebuilt and will open to everyone.

This article doesnt really answer any of our questions.

It doesnt contradict any of our ideas, but teaches us about the effects of the bombings and war
that is going on there.

Part 2
I found it interesting that Britain has a museum for Afghanistan. Also I found it interesting that
they have assisted in finding and returning 843 artifacts. Another fact I found interesting was
that they got some of them from people selling them on the black market.

We didnt really have any research question relating to this.

I thought at first the Taliban were just fighting people to get them to join them. But now I realize
that they are destroying a lot of things to. This is probably why they are missing a lot of their old
arts.

Part 3
I found it interesting that people would destroy museums just to threaten people.

I believe that it shows how degraded the country is and how bad the Taliban are. It just shows
that they would destroy their own ancestors things to threaten people.

Part 4
I found it interesting that wives in Afghanistan are called the mans wife. Also that they try to
avoid saying womans names. Another thing I learned was that they insult people using the
woman around you.
This relates to the question about major problems in the country.

This article doesnt contradict any of my ideas, but does open up a new problem in the country
that I know about.
