Last school holidays, my family and I went to Kelantan. We stayed there for three days
two nights. It was an amazing experience to see the songket weaving process. It is a very
monotonous process. No wonder it is very expensive. The batik canting is also a tedious task
but the product of this process is magnificent.

Another spectacular experience was the wayang kulit show which is the most popular
form of art in Kelantan. A man called Tok Dalang is the storyteller, as well as the master
puppeteer. Each puppet is a unique character and Tok Dalang would sit and play different
characters behind a semi-transparent white screen with an oil lamp as the source of light. He
sat behind the screen and started telling the story. As we were all from Perak, it was difficult
to understand the Kelantan dialect. However, we picked up very quickly. The shadow play
was very exciting.

Our visit to Kelantan would not be complete without a visit to Pantai Cahaya Bulan, a
well-known beach there. We stayed at the beach to watch the sunset. The view was simply
breathtaking.

Read the story below and answer the questions that follow.

Farah was blessed with a powerful and melodic singing voice ever since she was born. Her family was
very proud of Farahs talent and often asked her to perform for them.

One day, Farah joined a national singing competition. She sang a popular ballad beautifully and
won the competition. Her friends and family congratulated her heartily. Feeling proud of her
achievement, Farah started to change her behaviour.

She believed that she was going to be a famous singer someday. So, she refused to perform for
her family and friends. She felt that singing at a small event was not suitable for someone talented like
her. Her friends started to leave her alone as they didnt like her arrogance.

Without a care, Farah decided to audition with a big recording company. She practiced singing
day and night. However, two days before the audition, she had a sore throat. It quickly developed into a
serious condition when she stubbornly continued practicing.

As a result, Farah had to be hospitalised for vocal inflammation. She temporarily lost her voice
and also lost her chance to audition. More pathetically, she also lost her friends as none of them felt sorry
for her despite
