El rea de Conservacin Privada Gotas de Agua, fue reconocido como un

rea de conservacin privada por el ministerio del ambiente. Esta rea est
protegida por el seor Luciano Troyes hace ms de veinte aos.

The Private Conservation Area gotas de agua was

recognized as a private conservation area by the Ministry of
Environment. This area has been protected by Mr. Luciano
Troyes more than twenty years ago.

Se encuentra a 20 minutos de la ciudad de Jan, en el departamento

de Cajamarca.

It is located twenty minutes from the city of Jaen, in the

department of Cajamarca.

El bosque seco del maran cuenta con ms de mil ochocientas hectreas

es un bosque rico en flora y fauna y tiene un alto ndice en endemismo, es
decir tiene plantas y animales nicas en el planeta. El rea alberga y
protege a doce especies de aves endmicas y once sub-especies de la gran
variedad que habita en el Valle de Jan.

The dry forest of cashew (maraon) has more than eighteen

hundred hectares is a forest rich in flora and fauna and has
a high index in endemism, that is to say it has unique plants
and animals on the planet. The area shelters and protects
twelve species of endemic birds and eleven sub-species of
the great variety that lives in the Valley of Jaen.
En el bosque seco, encontramos aves como el Incaspiza, el colibr de
taczawnoski, la perdiz, la urraca, la perlita del maran, mamferos como el
oso hormiguero y venados, reptiles como iguanas, invertebrados, etc.

In the dry forest, we find birds such as the Incaspiza, the

En necesario, que conservemos el bosque seco, prohibir la tala y quema de

rboles, la caza indiscriminada; que valoremos las potencialidades
paisajistas y naturales. Es de urgente necesidad delimitar varias reas
protegidas, antes que la destruccin de los ecosistemas avance hasta
situaciones irreversibles

If necessary, keep the dry forest, prohibit the felling and

burning of trees, indiscriminate hunting; that we value the
landscape and natural potential. There is an urgent need to
delimit several protected areas, before the destruction of
ecosystems progresses to irreversible situations.
