Lessons:

Piano lessons have been shown to help with concentration, cognitive development and hand-eye
coordination. Learning a musical instrument helps students to be well-rounded, developing their
creative and artistic side along with technical skills. Playing for others also builds self-esteem.

Weekly lessons would consist of playing the piano and also focus on ear training, proper
technique, sight reading, and music theory. I work closely with the Alfred's Method which is
also very visual and introduces the idea of chords much sooner than most other methods. Lessons
are fun, challenging, and always tailored to the ability of your child. I enjoy working with
beginners as well as advanced students. Your child will learn technique, improve their music
reading and rhythmical skills and have fun playing pieces they enjoy!

I encourage parent participation in helping with reading directions (if applicable) setting time
aside each day in their regular homework schedule for practice, and making sure that the proper
books are brought to school each week. Practice times can range from 5 to 30 min/day
depending on age and level. However, consistency of practice is more important than duration.
Lessons are one half hour in length.

all teachers will be aware of your child's lesson schedule and will ensure that he/she is caught up
on any work missed.

Missed Lessons:

The parent must give 24 hours notice if a lesson is to be missed or the lesson may be
forfeited.

If notice is given, a make-up lesson will be offered within 15 days of the missed lesson.
