Registration
Separate from membership of Engineers Australia,
there are three voluntary national engineering
registers, aligned to the three recognised occupational
categories. Engineers Australia administers the
registers on behalf of the National Engineering
Registration Board which ensures that the registers
operate in the public interest. Currently Queensland is
the only state with legislation requiring professional
engineers to be registered (via the Board of
Professional Engineers Queensland).
