SYNOPSIS

TITLE: Consumer preference shift towards non-aerated drinks

RESEARCH PLAN:-
A survey would be carried out on a carefully chosen sample by employing
survey data collection technique i.e. questionnaire. Our basic aim is to collect
and convert data into a numerical form so that statistical calculations can be
made and inference could be drawn to ascertain whether consumers are shifting
towards nonaerated drinks and if yes, then why? Our research approach would
be quantitative in nature. The close-ended questions are designed so that
answers could be analyzed statistically. The sample will be taken from different
parts of India so that it represents the actual market. The sample size will be
around 250 which would include both males and females in equal proportion,
and people falling across different age categories. The contact method is online
for wider reach and also due to its easy accessibility. For few cases, one to one
survey could be carried out especially where the access to the internet is limited.
We are focused on collecting primary data (raw data) and no secondary data is
to be included. We would try to cover preferences and attitude of people
towards non aerated drinks.

The objectives are stated below:-

1. Is health consciousness the primary factor triggering a purchase or is it
just one of the factors?
2. The frequency of purchase of nonaerated drinks.
3. Flavours preferred and viability of experimenting with new flavors.
4. Age of consumers with their preference pattern.
5. Does price, packaging and advertising effect purchase decision?
