Task 8:

SCHOOL PROFILE:
For my second year professional experience (in unit 2104), I have been allocated a school to
be attending in October for 2 weeks. Over this time, I will be expected to teach some Literacy
lessons, a Physical Education lesson and a few Art lessons (if possible). I will be placed in a
Year 4 classroom with 33 students at a primary School. The school itself is a Government
Primary school 447 students enrolled from Kindergarten to Year 6, 30% of which English
being their second language, 2% Indigenous students, 33 teaching staff and 21 non-teaching
staff. It has many different school programs such as after school care facilities, Specialist
Programs of Art, Physical Education, Italian & school of Instrumental Music, and Gifted and
Talented Programs (including PEAC- Primary Extension & Challenge, and Numero).
