William Gilbert uses the word electricity for the first time and defines
the term electric force as the phenomenon of attraction that occurs when
rubbing certain substances. Through his experiences he classified the materials
into conductors and insulators and devised the first electroscope. (Moiss)

1733 Charles Franois de Cisternay du Fay Publica sus trabajos siendo el

primero en identificar la existencia de dos tipos de cargas elctricas
(positivas y negativas). He called them glass charge and resinous charge,
because both manifested themselves: in a way when rubbing, with a silk cloth, the
glass (positive charge) and in a different way when rubbing, with a skin, some
resinous substances like amber or rubber (negative charge). (Moiss)

1907 Leo Baekeland creates Bakelite, which was the first completely
synthetic plastic substance. It is a fenoplastic that currently has applications
of interest. He synthesized it from molecules of phenol and formaldehyde.

1936 Paul Eisler is probably the inventor of the printed circuit, since he
made one while working on the construction of a radio. (Moiss)

1943 The United States began to use this large-scale printed circuit
technology to manufacture radios that were robust, for World War II. (Jos)

1948-1949: After the war, USA released the invention of the PCB for
commercial use. In 1949, Moe Abramson and Stanilus F. Danko developed
the self-assembly process, where the component pins were inserted into a
copper foil with the interconnection pattern, and then welded. (Jos)

1958 The first Integrated Circuit was developed by Engineer Jack St. Clair
Kilby, just months after being hired by Texas Instruments. (Jos)

1963, FAIRCHILD manufactured a device called the 907 that contained two
logic gates, which consisted of four bipolar transistors and four resistors.
The 907 also uses insulating layers and internal structures, which are common
features in modern integrated circuits. (Jos)
