Read the passage below carefully and answer the questions that follow.

Last week, my friends and I went on a camping trip. We were very excited as it was our first camping
experience. Our teachers, Mr. Ganesh and Mr. Tan, accompanied us.

We learnt a lot during the trip. Mr. Tan taught us how to pitch our tents. Mr. Ganesh guided us
to make a campfire. We then cooked a delicious meal together.

That night, Mr. Ganesh played his guitar and we had fun singing together. We sat around the
campfire and Mr. Tan told us scary ghost stories. Chills went up my spine as I listened to his stories but
I tried to be brave.

The next morning, we had an early breakfast. After that, we decided to swim in the waterfall
before we left the place. After an hour in the water, we headed home. It was a wonderful experience and
we look forward to go camping again.

Read the passage below and answer the questions that follow.

Michael liked music since he was a toddler. He would sing and dance when he watched singers sang on
television. One day, his father made a promise to him that he would buy him a guitar if he was able to
achieve good results in his final examination.
Michael worked very hard and he did his revision every day. The examination was finally over.
He was excited when he knew that he passed the examination with flying colours.
Michael showed his report card to his father. His father was very pleased and he congratulated
Michael for his excellent work. Just as his father had promised, he took Michael to a shop selling
musical instruments. He chose a branded guitar for Michael. Michael was very touched and he thanked
his father profusely. He decided to attend guitar lessons. He wished that he could be a famous guitarist
one day.
