invocationofmood,color,andfluidity.Whileimpressionismhasbeentheenduringtermforhis
musicalstyle,Debussywasmoreinfluencedbysymbolistwriters,whosepoetryinspiredmany
ofhisworks.Acommonthemeisapparentinbothimpressionismandsymbolism:therebellion
