CANADIAN PARENTS FOR FRENCH - GRADE 12 AWARD

Canadian Parents for French Surrey Chapter has been sponsoring Grade 12 French
language awards for over 20 years to Surrey (SD #36) students intending to pursue
language learning opportunities, or attend a post-secondary institution, after graduation.

Awards: Each award is $300.00

Who is eligible? Grade 12 students graduating from the French Immersion program or
through Core French.

Distribution: There are a total of 8 Awards. Four (4) will be awarded to one student per
French Immersion secondary school. The remaining four (4) will be earned by the top
French language students (immersion, core, French as second language).

Criteria: Grade 12 students are to submit a (maximum) 300 word essay in French
responding to the question posed in the application form (not yet available for 2018)

Process: The Award Selection Committee will review all applications, select the award
winners & notify the school. Awards will be presented at the schools Commencement
ceremony.

Why can I get this scholarship?

The application form are not available yet, but I can surely get this scholarship. I will be
graduating next year and I am in the French immersion program. French is not an issue
for me because Ive been speaking French since I was able to talk, so the 300 word essay
in French would not be a problem for me.
