We came here in March 2014 and was surprised at the cheapness, and how easy it was to get around! 20 Places
There is a lot of beauty here, which still remains relatively untouched. Great for photographers!!

Beautiful bridge in the day and especially at night. The bridge crosses the Danube river and separates Buda from
Pest. Highly recommend climbing Gellert hill and/or buda castle for a photograph of this at night when it is lit up!

We unfortunately missed the memorial on the Danube of the shoes, which I'd really recommend to see. The river
Danube is an essential part of sightseeing in Budapest.

Castle hill is beautiful, and the views from here are even better! At night you can see the chain bridge lit up crossing
the river Danube and the parliament buildings also lit up. Spectacular views and recommended for photographers!
A lot to see and do up here, and could easily loose a few hours. There's the hospital in the rock, the labyrinth
underneath, the fisherman's bastion.

Highly recommend these! We went in March and the weather was cloudy & cold but this did not dampen/ruin the
day here at all - we'd assume it can be done in any weather. The baths range from approx 25-40 degrees. We paid
17.50 each (2x adults) and was made up. We spent a good few hours here experiencing each temperature baths, the
different saunas and steams etc.. and even spent a good half hour watching some elderly local man playing floating
chess!!

17.50 per adult (March 2014) - equivalent to 5300 foritz / 12.90

We were recommended this place by our hotel and was very happy! It was situated in an old church-like building
with the original decor and it wasn't so dear once inside. We paid a small fee to get inside the club/bar but once
inside the drinks were relatively cheap and the music quite similar to that in England. Recommend!

One of our favourite places. we endured the hike up the big hill to the top, with the statue, stopping for many
photograph opportunities along the way (of the danube, the parliament buildings etc). Well worth the hike, for the
views alone! Once up gellert hill, there is almost a little village up here - with an old WW2 bunker, a barracks,
restaurant, gallert statue and a hotel, amongst other things.
