Dear Eller College Admissions Committee:

As a current sophomore at the University of Arizona, my goal is to be admitted to the Eller

College of Management as a marketing major. I am interested in the ability to target an audience
and influence their likings by applying my creative skills in a professional environment and
contribute to the marketing aspect of business.

Experiences gained in my employment at the University of Arizona as a representative in the

Office of Scholarship and Financial Aid the last two years has allowed me to exhibit my
effective communication and problem solving ability in both English and Spanish. It is my duty
to assist and resolve parental and student inquiries via phone, email, and in-person under a high-
pressure setting. Advancement in this position displays my leadership role while gaining the
responsibility of mentoring newly hired office recruits.

Within the process of completing my minor in Spanish and Studio Art, the knowledge gained
will add to the Eller experience with the aspiration of working in advertising. My fluency in
Spanish allows me to connect with more students and will benefit me later in the workforce. A
minor in Studio Art will reinforce my artistic abilities and enrich the innovations utilized in
marketing. Demonstrating my diverse capacity skill set in any environment is essential in the
accomplishment of being a well- rounded student.

I have been newly inducted into Eller Hispanic Honorary, received one of Ellers Top Hispanic
Students of the year awards, joined Alpha Kappa Psi business fraternity, and represented the
University of Arizona in our community when volunteering at Eller Make a Difference Day.
Being a highly motivated, group oriented, and creative pre-business student demonstrates my
continual hard work and dedication to Eller. Thank you for your valuable time and I look
forward to introducing myself in person soon.
