CKA Holds Campus Journalism Workshop

On Nov. 7 8, 2016, a two-day Campus Journalism Workshop was held at Christ the King Academy,
Antequera, Bohol. The Workshop was conducted by Mr. Vincent Ramos, an I.T. professional with a huge
love for the English language. Its main objective is to provide adequate amount of information to the
Student Journalists about Campus Journalism. The event was made possible by the attendace of a small
number of Student Journalists who are eager to learn new things.
The workshop started with the students extemporaneously introducing themselves. An introduction of
Campus Journalism was then clearly explained to the students by the conductor with the accompaniment
of a slide show presentation, also its branches and other connected datails . Later on, as a way of review on
how much the students understood, a game of charades was played. The students were then tasked to
make a sample article about the life of the conductor, and 2 sample short poems, which were both
supposed to be passed the next day, applying all the essential keys that they have learned throughout the
presentation. The next day which is submission of the students homework, they willingly submitted. The
rest of the day still focused of enhancing the students learning about Campus Journalism.
In the end, the Student Journalists felt a great gratitude towards the Workshops facilitators for they
have been able to answer they were asking regarding Campus Journalism. The Workshops objective was
not the only things achieved during the event, but also, the bond that the students formed during the
event. Over all, the Workshop was a succerss.
