What is a cognate?

A cognate is a word that looks the same or similar in English/Arabic and in French, as well as other
languages. It also has the same meaning.

For example:

Le rugby = rugby

Un hamster = a hamster

Bleu = blue

Sirop = Sharab

Guitare = quitara
Articles : une / la are feminine, therefore any nouns with these articles will be feminine
Articles : un / le are masculine, therefore any nouns with these articles will be masculine
