Data/Surveys Required from

1. Information on development needs

a. Specify type of industries expected at site sectors (chemical,

engineering, food processing etc.) and size (small/medium/large)
b. Specify no. of industries to be accommodated or plots required
c. State specialised services and amenities needed at the estate (e.g.
crche/day care for children, canteen, training block, administrative block,
incubator facility, electricity back-up through renewable energy or
cogeneration plant etc.)
d. Specify of there is need for any special developmental theme for the
industrial park

2. Collect information on
a. Topographic sheets of 1:50,000 scale or better for 2 to 5 km around site
b. Settlements (villages, towns etc.) upto 5 km around site population size,
any special tourism/religious attractions
c. Land use map upto 5 km around
d. Any protected or environmentally sensitive zones around site, upto 5 km
reserved/protected forests, national parks etc.
e. Sources of water supply and quantities available
f. Sources of power supply and availability
g. Public infrastructure, utilities and services in the area
h. Air quality, water quality etc.
i. Applicable building bye-laws and development norms
j. Details of mandatory approvals needed from municipality, APPCB etc., if
any

3. Undertake field surveys and investigations on the site of the industrial estate
Topographic surveys
Soil surveys
Geo-technical investigations
Environmental quality monitoring ambient air quality, ground water
quality etc.
