What I notice Thoughts, Questions, Connections to Methods
Classes The class was doing an integrated reading and I had never seen an integrated lesson before so social studies lesson. The teacher was reading a it was nice to see one. I noticed that they were book about what a community is and the more into the reading aspect of the lesson. I different things that you find in communities think that the social studies lesson that they such as neighborhoods, parks, schools, etc. The were learning about was good for them to learn student seemed to know what a community was about their community and know what the and they did a good job interacting with the aspects of a community. I think since the teacher. I more so saw a lesson that was more students were still getting used to school and reading oriented although the students were they were still learning about their peers. I think learning some social studies things. The that the lesson that the first-grade team came students answered questions that the teacher up with was a good lesson for the first graders asked and the lesson seemed to be very to either refresh on from kindergarten or learn relatable to them because they were from the for the first time. I think that it was a good idea same community. The students were given to do an integrated lesson because the students social studies related vocabulary for the week really do not have much time for social studies and they were told what they meant and they and the teacher often told me that they dont worked with them all week long. The social even get to social studies some days because studies lesson seemed fun for the students and they have to finish math and language arts they were asked verbal questions about the before they can move on. My teacher is the only lesson and did not write anything down. teacher on my team that does vocabulary and she says that she tries to do social studies related ones so the students are able to know words that they are supposed to know from the social studies standards.
