REFLECTIVE ESSAY

I had been more than a month since i first started my elective posting in Hospital Univesiti Sains Malaysia
(HUSM) in Kelantan. Together with my two friends, Afiq Amani and Farah Alia, we had made a decision to
chose HUSM as our elective point.

There are several reason why do we chose HUSM as our elective centre. This includes to prepare ourselves
in a general hospital setting which are quite different compared to our UMMC.

There were so much things and great experiences that we gained throughout the six weeks of this elective
postings. To be able to experience such a new learning environment together with the medical students there
was such a great moment for us. They were very friendly and warmly welcomed us to every teaching that
they had through out the six week stay.

In a nutshell, I do think this elective programme could be an eye opener for us especially to prepare us to
become a doctor in our hometown one day.
