Spanish 201

Reflection 5

This is another one of my reflections in the Spanish 201 course. This one is about the

most recent chapter we just went over. This chapter was about the present perfect and the

subjunctive. These are both fairly complicated topics but once you practice them a couple of

times it becomes easier.

This chapter was fairly complicated for me in a couple of ways. I seemed to have a little

bit of trouble understanding when and when not to use the subjunctive. The part that was

confusing to me was when there was phrase that still used que but it was not one of the weirdo

phrases. I think I understand it now and get the concept of when to use the subjunctive and when

to use the infinitive tense of the verb. I had some trouble to at first with the present perfect about

when to use it just like the subjunctive but I believe I got it now. The vocabulary was not too bad

this go around but it was still a little confusing to me.

My performance for this chapter was not too bad. I did have a few bumps in the road with

when and when no to use a certain tense but I believe I am passed that now. I will need to study

the vocab some more. Still it seems to stump me each chapter but I guess that is kind of expected

when learning a new language. I will also need to study the tenses more especially if we go over

another one this upcoming chapter.
