Indian Restaurants in Langkawi

1. Papadam Ria Indian Cuisine in Pantai Cenang, next to Underwater World. (11am-11pm)
Serves Northern Indian Food. Signature dish: Manchurian Fried Vegetable (Not in the menu). Ask
for it & if they are not busy, they'll be more than happy to make that for you.
2. Tulsi Garden in Pantai Tengah (11am-11pm) Serves Northern & Southern Malaysian Indian
Food. Sinature dish Tomato Rasam. This has outdoor seating as well; one in full open and one
underneath a cottege shed along with bar as well.
3. Hotel Malaysia in Pokok assam (opposite Langkawi Parade) has fantastic South Indian
vegetarian (and non veg) banana leaf lunches for just 6 rm. Run by Rajan from India, Indians
(as opposed to Malaysian Indians or American Indians) this is as authentic as it
gets. The favourite is the coconut cutney with Idli & Vadai in the morning.
4. Sagar - Northern Indian Restaurant in Pantai Tengah. Not cheap but can be good food most of
the time.
5. Raj Dharbar - in Chenang, diagonally opposite Seri Kijang Resort. Food price is fair.
6. The Taj - Rebak Marina Resort in Rebak Island serves huge variety of Indian food as the resort
itself is managed by an Indian Hotel group. Lunch would be the best to travel all the way in.
Dinner - NOT encouraged as it would be difficult to travel back to the main island unless if you
are planning to spend the night in Rebak Island.
